MASTER CLOSET MAKEOVER
This Client is a Butterfly. She is a visual person who prefers broad categories. Our goal was to make it easy to put away items and see everything without it feeling cluttered.
Created a "Get Ready" corner with mirror and accessories.
To make it easy to put away clothes used bins to throw items like swimsuits, pajamas, and intimates. Then used a baskets for shirts and more intimates. Jeans and shorts were folded on shelf.
Client wanted to incorporate pictures and mirrors from her Grandmother. Added jewelry and belt storage.
Labels make everything easy to put away! Kept the color scheme with creams, pinks, and light tans. We added wallpaper to make this section pop and an additional earring holder from the container store.
New Hangers! Clothes separated by function. Activewear, workwear (blouses, skirts, slacks), and shoes. We did not sort by "color" instead we sorted blouses by sleeveless, short sleeve, and long sleeve. Then we sorted by solid and pattern. Color coding would have required too much upkeep.
We used bins to hold scarves, hats, and gift bag items. Also have a set place for the iron.
This shows the back of the closet. The long hanging section is for dresses. Bin on the floor is for items that don't belong in the closet. Back of door holds lightweight jackets.
